After his recent appearance in the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and his stunning performance in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the tennis player Rafael Nadal visited the Manhattan showroom of the Cosentino Group.
This responds to the Cosentino City concept which the firm is implementing in different cities all over the world. A new concept of space that aims to capture visitors’ attention by means of sensory experience and full customer support services provided by Cosentino’s expert staff. In addition to the New York showroom, the company also now has four more establishments of this kind, in Sydney, Singapore, Milan and Toronto.
During his visit, where some of the US market novelties from the Spanish company’s key brands such as Silestone and Dekton were shown, Nadal saw all the different areas of the showroom and personally met a number of Cosentino’s New York customers and partners. The Meet and Greet session was also attended by representatives of the community of architects and designers in the city, and the media. Also present at the event was the complete team of the Cosentino Manhattan showroom lead by Ana Granados, and Santiago Alfonso, Marketing and Communications Director of Cosentino Group. Lastly, Mr. Rafael Conde de Saro, Consul General of Spain in New York, also attended this exclusive event.
During the Meet and Greet Nadal highlighted the importance of the US market for Cosentino and said It is to admire that a family owned Spanish company has achieved such an important presence for its brands in this complex market. The tennis player, who in the beginning of the year visited Cosentino’s headquarter offices in Almeria, remarked about Dekton that We have used it very much in the tennis Academy we are building in Manacor, where the first promotion of resident students is to begin in a few weeks.
This visit is part of the relationship established at the end of 2014 between the Spanish company and Nadal, in which the Cosentino ultracompact surface brand Dekton is a sponsor of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar opened by the tennis star in his birthplace, Manacor. Dekton has also been one of the main materials used to decorate the Academy, thus revealing all the architectural and design possibilities this product offers, used on façades and on floors and other surfaces of the different facilities.
