Gruppo Molteni is taking another significant step towards requalifying its distribution network in the Far East.
With this new inauguration in Singapore, Grupp Molteni opts for a monobrand store and a shop-in-shop in internationally strategic markets.
The store, set to open its doors to business on 29 January in the presence of Israeli designer Ron Gilad, is the result of Gruppo Molteni’s cooperation with its local partner Macsk. The space – arranged over two floors and with a total surface area of 800 sq. m –is located in the prestigious Mohammed Sultan Road. Inside it showcases a global choice of furniture from the Molteni&C, Dada and Armani/Dada brands, along with other top names in international design. The whole interior design range is represented to enable visitors to satisfy whatever home interior requirements they may
have, from kitchens to dining rooms, living rooms to bedrooms through to home offices.
The numerous ideas include the latest Molteni&C collections presented at the recent Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, Ron Gilad’s Segreto writing desk and the Israeli designer’s Grado° collection. Dining and occasional tables, bookcases and glass cabinets, furniture featuring innovative designs where technology and use of materials combine harmonically to offer a broad and highly appealing choice.
Last but not least, the Gio Ponti collection, a remake of the famous Italian architect’s 1950s’ furnishings. The collection is the resut of meticulous cooperation beween Ponti’s heirs and Molteni&C, a company attentive to teaming up great contemporary designs with the classics that have marked the history of Italian design throughout the world.
Dada presents the Vela kitchen, a timeless classic updated by Dante Bonucelli.Doors are a mere 13 mm thick, slim to the point of imperceptibility. Technology is cutting edge and layers different materials, balancing the tensions and designing new proportions and distinctive technical details, such as the new opening mechanism, which allows doors to swing. Covering materials include Eucalyptus, skillfully crafted with a horizontal vein, and a new selection of tough and tactile nanotechnology laminates.
Also making their debut in south east Asia are Armani/Dada, who introduce Slide, a concept that sees the kitchen taking the leading role in a space around which guests gather. Luxury changes perspective with a surprising marble top for the island which slides away to reveal a thick stainless steel worktop. This is backed by the iconic Checkers wall made of fine natural woods, exclusive lacquers and textured back-painted micro striped glass plus a natural stone top. The presence of these carefully researched materials qualifies the surface of the unit, giving it a three-dimensional effect, underlined by the compositional use of LEDs fitted into the underside of the wall units and into the top of the counter.
