The Molteni Group has forged a partnership with Avax, firm with more than 40 years in the design of home furnishings.
Avax, distributors for Greece of major European and U.S. brands through their monobrand stores in Athens, offer a courteous and well-structured furniture and decorative furnishing design and installation service, meeting the demands of a sophisticated and discerning clientele attentive to contemporary living.
The new Molteni&C Dada showroom was inaugurated on 2 October next in Athens, in the fashionable Kifisias Avenue, in the Chalandri district. It covers 150 sqm of floor space, over two levels, where each brand exhibits its own way of living in a highly original style. Window displays features the Hi-Line6 kitchen, designed by Ferruccio Laviani, and Graduate, the suspended bookcase designed for Molteni&C
by the great French architect Jean Nouvel.
On the top floor, fitted out like a loft, space is given over to a variety of furnishing ideas for the living room, the bedroom and the home office, all with the inimitable Molteni&C and Dada hallmark.
London Design Festival
Otherwise, within the context of the 2014 London Design Festival (13-21 Septembber), Unifor showroom at Ergonom in Whittington House, renewed and presented a preview of the new space dedicated to Armani/Dada and Molteni&C Dada Contract Division. More than 300 sm. of special projects and customized supplies with specific models made on designs for every architectural context.
Armani/Dada introduces for the first time in London the exclusive Slide and Checkers collections. Design, function and elegance. These are the guiding concepts behind the development of the Armani/Dada collection.
With Slide, luxury is viewed from a new perspective with a surprising marble worktop on the island feature, which slides open to reveal the thick stainless steel work area. The door panels of the island and the wall-system feature horizontal panelling in sassafras wood with horizontal metal profiles cut into it at regular intervals.
With Checkers, precious natural woods, exclusive lacquers and textured, multilined back-painted glass are combined with the natural stone worktop. The use of materials enhances the smooth surface of the furniture, giving it a threedimensional effect, emphasised by the compositional use of LED lighting in the bottom of the wall units and under the worktop.To complete the contract offer, Dada presented Tivali and Hi-line6, two best sellers of the UK market.
The Molteni&C products offer for largescale projects for public spaces includes: Still Sofa, Teso coffee table, and Arc table, by Foster+Partners, Breeze sofa and Allure armchair by Matteo Nunziati, Freestyle sofa by Ferruccio Laviani, and a wide range of chairs, including Lyz, Outline, and Glove.
