To date, more than 40 new exhibitors from 10 countries expected at LivingKitchen 2017, with 200 international exhibitors across 270,000 square metres of exhibition space.
In January 2017, LivingKitchen will open its doors again. With six months still to go before then, one thing is already clear: as LivingKitchen brings together the most important national and international companies in the kitchen industry, the fair is becoming the most international kitchen event in Germany and the world. LivingKitchen is the world’s biggest and most comprehensive kitchen event. Nowhere else do manufacturers of kitchen furniture, electrical appliances, accessories and services of such quality come to one place.
In this way, the event speaks just as much to the trade audience as to the consumer. LivingKitchen aims to generate sales of kitchens (and all associated products) to major export markets as well as in Germany, and to open up new sales channels for the exhibiting companies. An important factor in this context is the internationality of the expected 150,000 visitors from more than 130 countries. This degree of internationality makes for new sales opportunities not only in Europe but also in the important markets of the future. More than 50 percent of the visitors will be vendors and over 30 percent from the contract or interior design sector. Well over 80% of visitors are satisfied with the extent to which their objectives in attending the event were met. Anyone who is active in the kitchen industry cannot afford to miss the Cologne event.
The whole world of furnishing gathers in the cathedral city for LivingKitchen and imm cologne – from both the supply and the demand sides. Around 1,300 exhibitors will be showcasing their current product lines in more than 270,000 square metres of exhibition space, of which 42,000 square metres are dedicated to LivingKitchen.
In the three LivingKitchen halls alone, around 200 exhibitors from more than 20 countries are expected – 40 of which are exhibitors participating for the first time. From 16 through 22 January 2017, prominent new exhibitors from Germany, such as Hansgrohe, Gutmann, Nolte Küche and Möbelwerke A. Decker will encounter Italian companies Valcucine, Elica, Ernestomeda, Florim Ceramiche and Scavolini. To date, Italy makes up the biggest proportion of new exhibitors, with 15 companies.
Besides its size, what makes LivingKitchen so attractive and distinguishes it from other comparable events is the internationality of its exhibitors. Currently, at 51 percent, more exhibitors come from outside Germany than not (compared with 45 percent in 2015). These figures demonstrate that the Cologne event in January is becoming increasingly important for the industry.
Also important for the success of LivingKitchen is the engagement of Koelnmesse with AMK in China. As a satellite event of LivingKitchen, the successful China International Kitchen and Bathroom Expo (CIKB) actively increases the number of visitors from Asia to Cologne. In the second-biggest exhibition centre in the world, the two partners focus on the subject of the modern fitted kitchen, a subject of much interest in China. For many companies, this is an amazing opportunity to introduce themselves to the attractive Chinese market. The international field of exhibitors includes representation from top-quality companies such as allmilmö, Ballerina, Blum, Bosch, CARAT, Fab, Franke, Gollinucci, Hailo, Hettich, MHK, nobilia, Nolff, Nolte Küchen, Siemens, Smeg, Suspa and zeyko. From China, Fotile, Haier, Oulin, Vatti and Robam are represented at CIKB.
As in Cologne, Shanghai also has its eye on kitchen-enthused consumers and families. At the Modern Kitchen Day, they can experience the concept of the modern fitted kitchen at first hand. With information from design consultants, seminars on cooking and baking, as well as numerous activities at the stands, enthusiasm for modern fitted kitchens is sure to be awakened in Shanghai. The fact that this concept is taking off is proven by the figures: the exhibition area booked by European companies has increased by more than 40 percent.
Two events, one purpose: to establish Koelnmesse and its various events as the business platform for the kitchen industry. The fact that big strides have already been taken towards achieving this goal is shown by the success of both CIKB and LivingKitchen.
