LivingKitchen China / CIKB 2017, jointly organized by Koelnmesse and the China National Hardware Association (CNHA), closed with much praises from participants on October 24th at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
09.11.2017 As a satellite trade fair of its mother event LivingKitchen in Cologne, Germany, LivingKitchen China / CIKB is the only specialized kitchen exhibition in China – supported by AMK, the German Association of Modern Kitchens.
The event successfully attracted over 200 foreign and domestic exhibitors, covering an exhibiting space of 30,000 square meters with a year-on-year growth of 10 %. The number of visitors increased by 30 % – compared with 2016 – with more than 30,000 overseas and domestic visitors in attendance over three days.
With the aim of introducing modern kitchen concepts to the Chinese market, LivingKitchen China / CIKB 2017 attracted a large number of well-known brands to exhibit at the event. International exhibitors included once again renowned brands such as Bosch, Siemens, MHK, Carat, nobilia, Nolte, Zeyko, Hettich, Franke, Blum, Hailo, etc. In addition, exhibitors debuted at the event or came back like Beckermann, Pronorm, Naber, Express Küchen, Vauth-Sagel, Dein Konfigurator, Chambord and many more. Moreover, visitors also found an all-star selection of Chinese brands at the event, including Haier, Fotile, Robam, Midea, DE&E, Vatti, Sanfer, Macro, Vanward, Xunda, Opike, DTC, Supor, ASD, Entive, and SENG. This comprehensive showcase reflected the dynamic development of modern kitchens in China. Several supporting activities of LivingKitchen China / CIKB 2017 delivered insights and updates in kitchen design and technology as well as general market developments.
– The 5th China Kitchen Industrial Development Forum & Sino-German Modern Kitchen Industry Summit discussed the application of the three essential elements of Modern Kitchen: Integration, Ergonomics and Sustainability in the context of China’s kitchen industry. Major stakeholders in the kitchen industry and representatives of market research firms gave insights and discussed hot topics at the forum, aiming to find new way to connect the Chinese consumers with international standard modern kitchens.
– The 1st China Kitchen Industry Brand Summit comprised of keynote speeches, a president forum and award ceremony. The summit focused on the intelligent and personalized kitchen market and was attended by trade association, industrial experts, well-known designers and executives of cabinet and kitchen appliance companies.
– The Kitchen Design Forum delivered a high-profile dialogue between exhibitors and sophisticated designers and inspired both foreign and domestic manufacturers with new ideas.
Overall, more than 50 supporting activities were held and over 70 media reported from the event. Highlights included real estate and hotel buyer delegations, delegations from the school of design, several new product releases, a smart kitchen showcase, cooking shows, DIY backing, cooking classes, and many more.
