At the FuoriSalone, Laminam has revealed its new Milanese address to the international public: an historic building with a classical style, restyled with a contemporary twist thanks to ceramic slabs.
The furnishings and claddings demonstrate an array of the various uses of the material available in the two production sizes (1000x3000x3 and 5.6 mm and 1620x3240x12 mm) and illustrate the multiple partnerships with some of the most prestigious companies in the industry.
The perfect example of Laminam usage in the kitchen can be seen in the extraordinary ModulTop project achieved in partnership with Laminam Poland by the architect Jakub Wiśniewski (JMW Architekci), who conceived its shapes and internal operation, and by Tomasz Pietrzak who studied it from a construction perspective. Inspired by the concept of Less is more, ModulTop is a compact block with clean-cut silhouettes and impeccable proportions, which turns into a super-accessorised futuristic kitchen with cutting-edge technological solutions.
The Laminam Cava – Bianco Statuario Venato Lucidato ceramic slabs used to make up the island, in 12 mm thickness for the countertop and 5 mm thickness for the fronts, demonstrate the extremely versatile and hard-wearing nature of the material. A kitchen island with a modern concept, ModulTop is mesmerising thanks to its shape, which recalls a sculpture, the attention to detail and the innovative content, illustrating perfectly the dual artistic and technological soul that distinguishes the Laminam brand.
Creativity, technology, partnerships
One area of the new showroom in Via Verdi 5 is dedicated to office design owing to the partnership between Laminam and Tecno, the 2 brands which provided their respective innovative technological and design know-how to achieve new results together. The brand that never overlooks quality styling contents was able to make evolutionary decisions to keep up constantly with the evolving needs of the contemporary office, joining forces with the company that specialises in producing large-size, ultra-thin ceramic slabs for the world of architecture and furnishings, to come up with the W80 partition system clad with I Naturali – Pietra di Savoia Perla and Antracite slabs.
A new frontier in the division of occupational spaces, with a strong technological content protected by 5 patents, the Tecno W80 system gains new potential combined with the revolutionary Laminam ceramic slab, available in the exceptional 1000×3000 mm size, which is incredibly light weight owing to the reduced thickness, making it possible to achieve solutions that are simply unrivalled by any other material. The generous Laminam surfaces can from now on rely on the effortless installation guaranteed by the innovative click-anchor mechanism of W80: a dry construction system that – owing to its reversibility and reconfiguration, disassembly and re-assembly possibilities – accommodates design requirements with the utmost flexibility.
