Hettich at SICAM 2019: AvanTech YOU
Indeed, with its new AvanTech YOU drawer system based on the tried and proven platform concept, Hettich is now taking individually tailored customer furniture design to the next higher level. As a pioneer, the company presented the world’s first platform solution for drawer systems, back in 1996. The latest AvanTech YOU platform now offers even more options for customising any drawer in terms of colour, shape and material. AvanTech YOU cuts an impressive figure with exceptionally slimline, purist design that manages without visible screw heads or cover caps.
The slimline drawer side profile measures only 13 mm. What is remarkable is the ease with which the new platform can be adapted to suit buyers’ requirements: the drawer, which can be used on two different runner systems with the same cabinet body hole pattern. It provides a flexible and cost effective basis for addressing different market segments and fields of application, because all components within the platform can be combined with each other. At the assembly stage, there is neither any need to rout drawer bases and install catches. Nor is it necessary to use rear panel corner connectors for wooden rear panels. This saves time and money.
Customization
Also, the drawers can be configured in three colours and five heights with steel, aluminium or wooden rear panels. Even within the standard product range, designer profiles in stainless steel, chrome and aluminium look or walnut and oak look as well as DesignCapes in anodised aluminium and stainless steel look or also the AvanTech YOU Inlay drawer side profile can all be used to create a wide variety of eye catchers. Any chosen materials, such as glass, wood or stone, can be used as side profile inlay.

TopLine XL
Besides, enjoy comfort is the motto of Hettich’s TopLine XL sliding door system for large and heavy door panels. This all begins with simple and failsafe installation: even large format front panels can be set down on the floor without the risk of damaging the bottom fittings, quickly hung and easily adjusted. In addition to generously proportioned wardrobe design, the focus for the user is on sliding pleasure. With TopLine XL, doors weighing up to 100 kg gently open and close with effortless ease. Specially developed rollers with particularly good shape retention provide the basis for this new, easy running action.
The system also takes you by surprise with technical innovation for even greater practical convenience in 3-door wardrobes: the middle door opens intuitively both to the left and right. It is gently cushioned in either direction and silently pulled into the end position. The TopLine XL sliding door fitting also sets standards in purist design for ceiling height wardrobes: its extremely shallow design with inconspicuously integrated Silent System makes the fitting almost invisible, leaving it to blend harmoniously into the overall picture. On request, the runner profile can also be embellished with decorative tapes in three colours.
Easys
Even more, the Easys electromechanical opening system from Hettich seamlessly incorporates refrigerators and dishwashers into high quality handleless kitchen design as well. Measuring a mere 22 mm, the Easys system comes with the lowest overall installed height on the market and also impresses with user friendly functions. Assisted opening with Easys is so powerful that it easily overcomes a refrigerator’s magnetic door seal. The door moves open in response to a light press on the front, then making it possible to open it all the way by hand. An intelligent control system prevents the refrigerator from being opened unintentionally. On closing, Easys is particularly finger friendly: the door is not pulled closed by a separate magnet, reducing the risk of trapping fingers.
Sensys
To conclude, dark timbers, warm colours and exquisite surfaces are right on trend in the luxury segment. This is where the hinges should remain discreetly in the background: the Sensys hinge from Hettich in obsidian black unobtrusively blends into the design of furniture. This means the range provides a key to upgrading into the luxury segment and gives manufacturers new options for differentiating. Sensys not only features hinges and mounting plates for all common usage situations but also for unusual applications, such as for thin doors from 10 mm door thickness, for thick doors with narrow reveals as well as for doors with mitred edges on all sides.
