Diesel Open Workshop kitchen, by Scavolini

26 abril, 2016

Scavolini and Diesel come together once more with their new Diesel Open Workshop kitchen and bathroom project, one of the novelties that Scavolini presented at Eurocucina 2016.

After the enormous success of the Diesel Social Kitchen, presented at Eurocucina 2012, Scavolini and Diesel introduce Diesel Open Workshop: the new program that spans both kitchen and bathroom, continuing the development of a style in which design meets informality, with impeccable balance.

Cocina Diesel Open Workshop, de Scavolini

In this project, a warm approachto the domestic environment is clear, with a strong industrial vibe. The spaces are interpreted as a place of intimacy, personality and, at the same time, sociality. At the centre, remarkable attention to style, right down to the detailing, the materials and the textures, to create simple geometry but with attractive designs, beloved by an an audience that seeks "apparent" simplicity of form.

From an architectural point of view, the character of the Diesel Open Workshop is clear in the modular metallic structures made of iron tubing, a clear industrial twist, which, thanks to the clever mix of solids and voids, allows the construction of compositions with an unmistakable metropolitan soul, accentuated by the use of opaque shades that combine to create comfortable and casual environments.

The metal fits into this model, marking the profiles of the handle grips, the surface frames, the supports and the glass door frame. The latter, in aluminium, is key, continuing the play on volumes which characterises the collection. Three versions are available – smoked glass with black mesh, transparent glass with white mesh and flutes glass – while the Matt Lacquer option is available in three different colours – Dove Grey, Slate Black and the new Moss Green.

The Diesel Open Workshop features the introduction of a new handle grip on the top of the door, aluminium edging stretching along the entire length, both horizontally (for bases) and vertically (for columns). Another distinctive feature is the top with mirror-polished edges, mounted within an aluminium profile in three finishes with metal corners on the four points.
