To attend the company´s plan for future growth, the subsidiary Cosentino North America will set its new headquarters in Miami, starting mid 2017.
The Cosentino Group currently has the widest sales and distribution network achieved by a Spanish company in the industrial sector in North America. This network is mainly composed by 42 Cosentino Centers, 36 located in USA and four in Canada, as well as three Cosentino City or showrooms and two distribution hubs.
The multinational has recently opened six new Centers in the USA, facilities that combine the functions of warehouse, training centre, offices and showroom, most of them in new states. These launches mean that Cosentino now has its own facilities in half of the 50 American States. The company thus proves its firm commitment to a key commercial market that currently represents 55% of the Group@¬#s total sales, and where the company is now a leader in the sector.
Another differentiating asset in the Cosentino distribution model, the City showroom concept, is also the star of this expansion as Cosentino already counts three of these showrooms in New York, Toronto and the most recent one of Montreal, which will have its official opening in the coming weeks. In addition, two other Cosentino City’s will open, one in San Francisco at the end of April, and a fifth Cosentino City will open in Miami Design District before the month of July. This presence with its own assets is completed with two distribution hubs and twelve surface elaboration and transformation plants. This is also going hand in hand with growth in the number of employees to over 1,200 employees in the USA and Canada by the end of this year.
As a result of this high implementation and in order to attend the company’s plan for future growth, the headquarters of its subsidiary Cosentino North America will be located in Miami since mid 2017, and not anymore in Houston. This strategic decision will bring greater efficiency to the management of the North American market, as well as better coordination both with the Group’s headquarters in Almeria and with the rest of the continent. Furthermore, Miami is not only currently one of the largest and richest cities in the country, but it is an indispensable reference point for the most prestigious architects and designers in the world, and offers significant business opportunities and new projects.
For Eduardo Cosentino, EVP Global Sales for Cosentino Group and CEO of Cosentino North America, since we opened the subsidiary in 1997, Houston has been an incredible place for our operations in the USA, and our business in the city as well as in the whole of Texas state will continue to grow strongly in the coming years. However, it is clear that, in order to sustain our growth and achieve greater efficiency we need our corporate headquarters to be located in a global city, from where we can centralize management for all the American continent. Without a doubt this move will help us in our objective of expanding even more in the USA over the coming years, consolidating our leadership and being able to meet the demands of this competitive market.
