AT LIGNA 2013, Biesse will be introducing many high performance, technologically advanced solutions as well as innovative new software.

For five days, May 6 to 10, 2013, Hannover becomes the world capital of woodworking technology during the biennial Ligna Fair. Thanks to the strong focus on product development, Biesse (stand B46 C45, Pavillion 25) will be introducing many high performance, technologically advanced solutions as well as innovative new software.

Biesse Ligna 2013

Some of the highlights being demonstrated by Biesse at Ligna 2013 include the new Uniline for manufacturing windows and doors, Rover A 5 axis working centre and Opera 7, the latest finishing solution created by Viet. The new bSolid software, an intuitive and innovative solution developed entirely by Biesse, will be presented in a dedicated area.

The multicenter Uniline is the CNC machining center for companies interested in a highly flexible system complete with automatic loading and unloading, designed to increase the production of windows and doors components. This modular solution can also be integrated into multiple cells making it attractive to companies involved in batch processing. Uniline’s new concept dramatically reduces labor: with the standard configuration, Uniline runs without operator intervention but can also be configured to run continuous cycles while only requiring 20% of the operator’s overall work time.

Rover A 5 axis
The new Rover A 5 axis is a very competitive machine in price and performance, delivering a flexible, fast setup solution capable of creating very complex components easily. The Rover A 5 axis features a powerful and interpolating 5 axes electrospindle and a drilling head with independent spindles. In the woodworking
industry, the Rover A 5 axis is the only machine in it’s class capable of machining parts up to 225mm (9”) thick. The maximum panel width for routing is 1660 mm but the table design allows a panel with a 2100mm width to be positioned without interferring with the moving parts of the machine allowing for more flexibility.
Opera 7 is the new high volume Wide Belt Sander by Viet designed to be integrated into high production finishing lines, with the ability to perform a wide variety of applications.

The standard configuration includes, cross, roller, spinbrush, superfinishing and cross unit, making the machine suitable for a broad range of applications including presanding and superfinishing of veneered and painted panels to rustic-structured effect of raw panels or veneered and trimming of the outer edge of any kind of panel. This new machine combines the highest Viet technology including generous sanding belts dimension (8700 mm for cross belt unit and 3250 mm for the longitudinal units) and all available technological solutions to pose Opera 7 top in the market for sanders intended for large-scale industry. Positioning the opera 7 in the most sophisticated sander category.

Biesse will have an area in the stand dedicated to bSolid to show the application and all it’s capabilities and potential to visitors. The software allows any user to access sophisticated features: from an idea, directly to the visual designing of the “part”. This is the strength of bSolid. Going from a concept to visual design in a few clicks. bSolid features are readily available to help customers in daily tasks, converting drawings to a machining program by the click of a button.
