The Koelmesse team are currently on a world tour, generating international media attention for LivingKitchen.

The team have already taken advantage of important industry fairs in Moscow and Shanghai for the acquisition of new customers and to establish direct contact with the industry media. For Project Manager Eike Fuchs, the goal of these intensive 1:1 discussions is to meet the key players, industry associations and media on site. The early-bird discount offer is being used as an additional marketing tool and runs until 30 June 2014.

LivingKitchen 2013

The Rooms Moscow/MIFS trade fair in Moscow at the end of May 2014 marked the beginning of a global press trip for President and Chief Executive Officer of Koelmesse, Gerald Böse, Project Manager of LivingKitchen, Eike Fuchs and Communications Manager of imm cologne and LivingKitchen, Markus Majerus. The team are using important industry platforms to spread the word about LivingKitchen. The successful international kitchen event takes place in Cologne in parallel with imm cologne from 19 – 25 January 2015.

The LivingKitchen tour is designed so that we meet the key industry players on site – at globally orientated yet locally facing trade fairs. This is always the best opportunity to meet, alongside the manufacturers, all the industry’s influential information disseminators like industry-media editors and associations of the respective countries and engage in direct discussion. We like to take this opportunity to generate new contacts
, explains Eike Fuchs.

Rooms Moscow/MIFS was the perfect start for the Koelnmesse team’s press tour, as Koelnmesse co-organises the Moscow fair. Rooms Moscow/ MIFS takes place as a satellite event, presenting the combined product and event range of the Cologne-based events LivingKitchen, imm cologne, ORGATEC, spoga+gafa and interzum, each of them the leading international trade fair in their respective industry. During Rooms Moscow/ MIFS, a special press event was organised to promote LivingKitchen. We engaged in very positive cross-industry discussions and the most important media representatives were in attendance, says Markus Majerus.

Immediately after the fair in Moscow, Markus Majerus and Eike Fuchs headed directly to Shanghai to attend Kitchen & Bath China 2014. Once more, the focus was on meeting local producers and media representatives. In addition to a “get-together“ for journalists, meetings with key associations of the kitchen industry were arranged to foster cooperation in relation to visitor marketing. The second half of the global LivingKitchen tour will follow in autumn, with press events in a variety of targeted countries – the acquisition of new customers will again be top of the agenda.

To underpin these visits to individual countries and traditional public-relations activities, Koelnmesse produces the so-called Trend Letter.

The Trend Letter is a newsletter sent out per email in German, English, Chinese and Russian, containing independently researched trend content which can be used by journalists free of charge. The Trend Letter was started last year as a complementary measure to imm cologne‘s traditional press releases and has recently been adjusted to include the theme of kitchens for the coming LivingKitchen event.

The LivingKitchen early-bird offer ends soon. Companies can still take advantage of special conditions for their fair appearance up until 30 June 2014. The next trade fair duo Imm Cologne// LivingKitchen takes place from: 19 – 25 January 2015.
