Successful autumn trade fairs for the Vauth-Sagel Group

Vauth-Sagel took part in key international trade fair formats held in parallel within just a few weeks this autumn: the Sicam in Pordenone, the Compamed in Düsseldorf and the Mebel in Moscow. Vauth-Sagel´s huge product range convinced visitors and formed the basis for many promising customer consultations.

Autumn is traditionally the season of major trade fair events. Many companies open their doors within the context of in-house fairs in October and November, although this period sees many important trade fairs as well. For an enterprise such as Vauth-Sagel, which specialises in five different materials, this was a veritable trade fair marathon. For Vauth-Sagel, the autumn trade fairs traditionally kick off with the Sicam in Pordenone, the international trade fair for components, technical products and accessories for the furniture industry.  Vauth-Sagel exploited this globally-reaching platform for its own requirements and presented the most important products and variants from its comprehensive range of products at the trade fair. Add to this the new ready-for-production waste separation systems, which had be premièred at Interzum as prototypes just a few months before along with the VSA larder cabinet.

Within just a few weeks, Vauth-Sagel attended key international trade fair formats: the Sicam in Pordenone, the Compamed in Düsseldorf and the Mebel in Moscow. The huge Vauth-Sagel product range was the convincing factor for visitors at all three events and formed the basis for many promising meetings with customers.

Vauth-Sagel is extremely satisfied with the outcome of the trade fair: the company was able to welcome a large number of visitors to its stand, particularly attendees from Germany, Europe and overseas. Eastern Europe was also well represented, while the final day was favoured by Italian customers, above all. Despite the still somewhat tense economic situation in southern Europe, the interest by far exceeded all Vauth-Sagel’s wishes and expectations. We have been a regular at the Sicam for many years now and will with almost complete certainty be attending again in 2014, reports Managing Director Claus Sagel.

Mebel

Compared to the previous year, the number of exhibitors at the Mebel, one of the largest and most important shows in eastern Europe, may have shrunk a little, but this had no impact whatsoever on Vauth-Sagel’s trade fair success in Moscow. 15 exhibitors showcased Vauth-Sagel Made in Germany products between November 18 and 22, including new developments such as the DUSA, the VSA, the DSA and the Öko freeliner, top sellers within the Russian market such as multi-level drawers, HSA, BRS, OSA, TOM, DSA, basket drawers and the Wari corner as well as two prototypes: the Öko topliner and the BSSA. For Vauth-Sagel, the trade fair event – which was attended in collaboration with the two local trading partners Fiera and Duslar – proved to be an excellent opportunity to personally meet with existing and recently acquired customers. Vauth-Sagel will definitely be represented in Moscow in the future through its trading partners, added Heinz-Otto Sagel. Although the ‘ZOW’ and ‘Mebel’ trade fairs plan to split over the coming year, our local partners have already signalised that activities will continue: Duslar wishes to take part in the ZOW in May, while Fiera will be attending the Mebel in autumn as usual.

Compamed

At the same time as the Mebel, the Compamed took place in Düsseldorf between November 20 and 22, 2013: a parallel event to the world’s largest medical trade fair – the Medica – where the focus was on new technology solutions. Compared to the previous year – where there was predominantly an exchange of information with existing customers and new customers – many of the meetings this year focussed on concrete projects. To this end, the fact that the trade fair was slightly weaker overall was of little significance to the materials specialist from Brakel-Erkeln. With regards to the number of visitors to the trade fair, the absence of quantity was definitively compensated by the quality of those coming to Düsseldorf. Some customers even arrived with drawings and CAD files with the objective of discussing concrete topics and issues. These included not only existing clientèle, but also new customers in many cases. Thanks to this outstanding feedback, Vauth-Sagel assumes that it will be able to successfully further expand its medical technology division over the next few years. In the past few years, we have been able to successfully increase our presence in the medical technology sector. Favouring the company was the fact that the Vauth-Sagel Group placed a stronger spotlight on its development and materials competence than it has done so in the past. We have meanwhile become an important project partner for many customers – which is something we are thrilled about, of course, comments Peter Sagel.

At its trade fair stand, Vauth-Sagel once again placed the focus on presenting the materials diversity that the company offers. Many in the industry are familiar with Vauth-Sagel above all as an injection moulding specialist – although the successful manufacturer is a competent player in all materials used in the medical equipment sector. Following an extremely successful autumn, Vauth-Sagel will continue on its course to attend all important trade fairs in 2014.
