In the press conference that was held last October 25, the chief operating officer of Koelnmesse, Katharina C. Zama, and Frank Huther, director of AMK (German association of manufacturers of kitchen) confirmed the leadership of LivingKitchen in the sector. 160 exhibitors are already confirmed.
LivingKitchen Imm Cologne and have reached the top on the agenda of the international economic sector of the kitchen: so was confirmed by Katharina C. Zama, chief operating officer of Koelnmesse. From 14 to 20 January more than 1,200 companies from 60 countries will be presenting more than 100,000 pieces of furniture and related articles, a third of which are new ones. Furthermore, two thirds of the exhibitors are international, mainly from Spain (Cata, Frecan and Cosentino, for example), Italy, Belgium, Austria, France, Poland and Sweden.

These issues, and many more were treated at the press conference held last October 25 at the Cologne Exhibition Center, with the participation of Katharina C. Hünther Hamma and Frank, who were accompanied by Dirk-Uwe Klass, executive director of the Association of German Industry and Markus Majerus, press officer of the fair.
For a week, the two fairs, which are held simultaneously, will transform the spaces of Cologne Exhibition Center in key business platform for international suppliers of all segments. I believe we will attract some 140,000 visitors, 45,000 foreigners, assures Katharina C. Zama.
But, as the chief of operations said, these figures are not the only reason for the success of this event. The conceptual evolution of the fair towards the modern design of interiors has been crucial; addition, economic uncertainty has made in Germany and other countries, people abandon their financial investments and focus on more tangible investments, in particular in its house, and so build a wellness retreat in the midst of the storm, full of design and quality materials: the new role of home in times of crisis.
LivingKitchen 2013
Specifically, LivingKitchen 2013 will feature 160 exhibitors, and promises to be a kitchen exhibition unlike any other that people have seen before: the leading manufacturers of German market will compete face to face with their international competitors, the Champions League of the furniture and auxiliary industry in the kitchen, as Katharina have defined. The event will display kitchens in all its variety of facets. The most known brands of appliances, such as AEG, Electrolux, Beko, Bosch, Liebherr, Miele, Siemens and Franke, present also their products.
In general, the fair will feature a spectrum as diverse as none in the world. But an exhibition of such importance must present innovative concepts and provide added value to exhibitors, says Frank Huther, director of AMK (German association of manufacturers of kitchen, bringing together 125 companies in the sector and has several working groups). As the format Das Haus – Interiors on Stage, by Nicetto Luca, which is a recreation of a living situation within the exhibition by a renowned designer. And this is only one example. The attractive support programs, said Huther, contribute to success of LivingKitchen and add to its strict business fair category a dose of entertainment.
The director of AMK added that space is constituted so that alternating exhibitions of furniture, fully equipped kitchens and presentations of all kinds of products, which makes the visitor finds a varied and entertaining tour.
In short, LivingKitchen, according to Mrs. Zama, is different from other industry events due to its large exhibition area, due to the structure of exhibitors is more international than any other in its sector globally, because its wide range of products clearly structured and sorted by subject, and due to it is the largest concentration of kitchen decor trends worldwide.
