Tara faucets of Dornbracht just turned two decades and has become an icon of contemporary design.

When Dornbracht introduced Tara in 1992, two-handle fittings weren@¬#t really very trendy; the market was dominated by single-lever mixers. But the progressive concept with the characteristic cross handles quickly became the archetype of modern bath fittings.
"Tara is one of our most successful fittings and is largely responsible for Dornbracht@¬#s reputation as a trend-setting manufacturer of high-quality fittings and accessories for bath and kitchen," reports CEO Andreas Dornbracht proudly. "Tara stands for the four P’s at Dornbracht: proportionality, precision, progressiveness and perspicacity. Its cross handles combine modernity with a classic design. Tara is puristic and modern. At the same time, it gives you the feeling that it@¬#s an old friend. A Tara bathroom built more than 20 years ago is still up to date."
In 2008, together with Sieger Design, Dornbracht presented the refinement of its classic in design and technology and paved the way for the future. It was a contemporary interpretation and a consistent continuation of Tara, and not a radical change.
In addition, for the special Tara Black and Tara White editions, two new surfaces were introduced: matt black and matt white. These surfaces are intended to be a symbol for a haptic avant-garde. The architechtural colours black and white deliberately reflect the world of Bauhaus.
Tara is available for the bath and the kitchen. For the washbasin, bath, shower and bidet, Tara is available with black (Black Edition), white (White Edition), platinum, matt platinum and chrome surfaces. Matching accessories round off the series. For the kitchen there is a single-lever mixer with or without a rinsing spray set, with surfaces in platinum, matt platinum and chrome. The product design originated from Sieger Design.
