ANIEME managers (National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain) are very satisfied with the results of the trade mission which took place from 4 to 6 July in the Asian country. Spanish companies met with importers, specifiers, architects and interior decorators, and managed to close several trade agreements, helping to consolidate the presence of Spanish furniture in Singapore. Spanish companies have interesting business opportunities in this market, especially in the case of companies specializing in the contract channel and avant-garde furniture.
Although a limited number of furniture importers, imports have continued to grow since 2006, and there is particular interest in the furniture of upper-middle range. This upward trend is due largely to the high rate of construction and renovation of existing buildings in Singapore.

The President of ANIEME , Juan Carlos Muñoz, said that "Spanish companies should strengthen the development area outside to face increasing competition from markets and diversify its sales to new destinations offering interesting business opportunities. In this case, speaking of certain Asian markets such as Singapore, we should not look at them only as competitors but as potential consumers of high-end Spanish furniture".
"Emerging markets in Asia Pacific offer a niche market for those Spanish companies with a differentiated product, with innovative design and cutting edge as well as companies specializing in contract channel.
